Canada Day Long Weekend on Mayne Island

This past weekend myself and nine of my friends had the pleasure of staying at Soul Space. We could not get over that view, so we didn’t travel far from the deck! We spent most of our time listening to music, talking, and playing cards out there with every meal looking out onto the water. We ventured down to the ocean eventually where some went canoeing and others searched for crabs. Couldn’t have asked for better weather and better company! Thank you Shopland clan for offering up your beautiful place!

A perfect start to the new year

I had a beautiful time at Soul Space over the first week of January – and I
was so relaxed that I didn’t even pick up my phone to take photos!

Being there at the dawn of 2016 prompted me to envision and plan my
intentions for the year. The stunning, serene setting helped me connect
with the important stuff.

I also rediscovered my joy in cooking, making fresh pizza, savoury tarts,
ribs, and more!

The Shopland generosity enveloped us at every moment. We were living in a
gift and that made our time even more magical. Thank you!

I had such a great time at the SoulSpace this weekend!

It was my first time on Mayne Island – and my first time actually having a
weekend off in probably over a month. I had such a great time catching up,
and discussing anti-oppression theory with Andrew, visiting the
grandparents , and hanging out. I hope to be back again soon!

I’ve attached some pics of the short trip!

Thanks Shopland’s! 🙂

Andrew had a great weekend on Mayne with Mom and Dad. Highlight was waking up floating in the trees after spending the night in my hammock. Also had fun moving rocks and judging branches.
